Hi All,

Can anybody suggest me best POS?

I got a small retail store, I tried 3-4 POS, none of them are not meeting my need!

I need POS integrated with accounting software also to make my shopping as online shop, all together.

Can anyone got such POS, can anyone share the details?

Warm regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,

First of all, I'm curious which POS systems did you try and why didn't they work for you?  There's obviously a reason they are not working and wouldn't want you to make another mistake.  Perhaps it's your situation, personnel, or you just picked 3 really bad systems.

To give you suggestions on POS systems with integrated accounting and shopping cart features, it really depends on your situation.  There are at the very east 60 POS systems that will do what your asking.  So it depends on:

- your type of business (maybe you should use a vertical market solution)
- approximate size of business
- geographic location
- software features desired
- operating system desired

Then of course once you find systems that match those requirements, you'll want to through evaluate the companies service, support, and training.  You'll want a good company to support you and I assume you've figured that out the hard way.

To give you an idea, I just plugged your basic needs that you listed above in the new beta version of our POS Search Tool and it matched 34 POS systems.  So far we have data collected for about 60% of the POS systems we want to include.  So that number of 34 will obviously grow in the next couple days.

If you'd like access to the beta search tool, you'll need our buyers guide and then I'd be happy to give you the link.  It lets you plug in your Location, Size of Business, Type of Business, Operating Systems Desired, and Features Desired (there are 65 key differentiating features to choose from).  Then click submit and you'll see a handful of matches.

If you have any more questions, let me know.  But really, you simply need to follow the steps in our buyers guide, use our search tool, and I'm confident that you find something that you'll be happy with.

All the best,

Jeff Haefner

Paul,

Jeff's new search tool is out and it is really cool... but to use it effectively, you need to have a much better definition of you requirements.  I can think of a whole bunch of packages that link to accounting software and offer on line shopping.

In the world of web shopping, you will find systems that let you host your web cart on a server (Big PC) other than your own and those which require you to maintain your own web server (still a Big PC).  The former is generally less expensive but requires you to move data (inventory and sales) back and forth between the systems.  The latter can operate both your real store and your web store out of the same database (a good thing) but carries with it all the burden and risk of operating your own web server.  Be sure to gat some professional help in making this decision.
