Here's my situation.. I'm about to start selling products primarily via ecommerce.  We will not have a physical store front to sell product from, however, we may eventually be selling our product at trade shows.  We want to be able to accept credit cards on our website and at the tradeshows.  Cash would obviously only be accepted at trade shows.  We have a website developed, but aren't sure what kind of interface to use for the checkout.  Currently we are using a system that redirects people to another payment site.  We would like to change that to a system where we keep our customers on our site instead of sending them somewhere else. 

I am not sure what software/hardware to use for all of this, either.  Some of the credit card payment sites out there seem to be kind of expensive, although they are the sites that redirect our customers away from our site.  Is there an option available for customers to enter their credit card information on our site and we (as in our software) automatically/immediately handles the transaction?
